Processing emotions?

The belief that we can sense and process emotions physically throughout the body is an interesting one. How come one unhook from all the chaos seemingly up in the mind (particularly for the neurotic ones) and notice how one or multiple emotions exist and manifest themselves through bodily sensations?

Something very difficult to believe for the next-big-thing chasing mind, seeking the next thing, and then the next one, and then the next one, never making space for a certain inherently quiet element that’s always there.

The post-processing of bodily sensations may at times feel like when i was a child and after a good intense cry there was a spacious, gratifying sense of deep peace and okayness — double short inhale and long exhale.
